The Monichino family pride themselves on creating premium, handcrafted, boutique wines with minimum use of preservative. The high quality of grapes used come from the low yielding vines on the 70  acre vineyard in the Goulburn Valley. Heavy pruning and light supplementary watering of the vines enhances the natural character of the fruit and intensity in flavour, creating a full-bodied aroma and richness in the wine. Monichino Wines produces over 27 varieties of wine from crisp, refreshing whites to full-bodied reds, spritzy dessert varieties and decadent fortifieds. A specialty of the winery is the traditional Italian varietals which include Pinot Grigio & Barbera.

Monichino Single Vineyard 2015 Chardonnay

Terry Monichino , cheif wine maker is very excited about his first Single Vineyard Release Chardonnay. Made the in the original style, full bodied and robust.

The fruit is 100% grown on our Katunga vineyard. Fermentation was carried out by wild yeasts in new barrels. The wine has complexity of aromas and flavours including fig, melons, toffee and ripe pineapple.

Recommended cellaring- 8 years.

2013 Monichino Chardonnay

AROMA - Tropical fruit, buttered toast & smoky oak.

PALATE - Buttered toast, caramel & tropical fruit

This award winning  Chardonnay is full bodied rich and enticing. Its lush American oak vanilla aromas with burnt honey, melon and peach, merge in a rich flavour filled combination with the wine's buttery malolactic characteristics, which have been further enhanced by lengthy barrel fermentation on stirred lees. Cellaring up to 4 years or drink now.

Match with Carbonara and other cream based sauces or wild duck, pheasant or rabbit.

2016 Monichino Sauvignon Blanc

AROMA - Lemon, green apple, nashi fruit & passionfruit
PALATE - A slight degree of honeyed sweetness, with passionfruit and gooseberry flavours and a hint of citrus


A typical Sauvignon Blanc, displaying aromas of passionfruit, lychees and citrus, fused with the crisp, delicate flavours of lemon, green apple and nashi fruit. The lingering palate and abundance of natural flavours allow the wine to stand alone or as an accompaniment to food. Drink young. Serve with seafood, especially Asian style, frittatas or spicy salads.

2015 Monichino Riesling

AROMA - Apple, lime and citrus
PALATE - Lemon, lime and subtle passionfruit


The aroma consists of fresh apple, lime and lemon followed by lemon and tart apple flavours and the palate. This wine will prove to be very refreshing, particularly during the hot summer months. Cellaring potential 5-8 years. Great with seafood, chicken or Asian dishes.

PALATE - Mouth filling spice, lychee, lengthy soft finish.


This is another exciting and powerful wine with lots of intense, complex flavors. The aroma is floral with hints of stone fruits, lychees and spice, while the palate is clean, crisp, and refreshing. Good length and finish. Cellaring potential 5 years. Serve with Antipasto, tapas, cream sauce pasta's, fish or chicken.
